Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, and Hutchinson Island in one fell swoop!
Start your day with a gorgeous and sight-seeing wonder – cruising along the St. Lucie River. The St. Lucie River Lilly Cruise meets at River Park Marina. We saw alligators resting along the banks, majestic Florida birds flying overhead, and turtles bathing on logs. This river takes you back to Old Florida, during the time of discovery and settlement. A must-do! Plus, the married tour guides and owners know their stuff. 🙂
Stay at the recently renovated Hutchinson Island Plaza Hotel & Suites in Fort Pierce. The beachfront property has a great view and poolside fun. A dock provides the perfect view of a Florida sunset. Best in the world, in my opinion!
Head down over to the The Inlet Grill in Fort Pierce for a casual, waterfront dinner. Anything seafood is great there. Don’t miss the Catch of the Day Tacos!!
Then walk over to Jetty Park across the way. Witness the catches people have made, and simply walk along as the water gently crashes by you.
We’re a family that loves dessert! So, we took a little drive to Uncle Carlo’s Gelato in Fort Pierce. They have the most diverse flavors of gelato one can imagine – toasted marshmallow, for instance!
Kick off another St. Lucie day with Horseback Riding on the Beach. Tours on Horseback meets on S. Ocean Drive in Fort Pierce. They are another family-owned business who are great with the horses (and of course people). Gallop along the breath-taking beach and make picture-perfect memories (see below)!
Make it a point to stop by the local aquarium and manatee observation center. The aquarium is Smithsonian-affiliated and hold habitats that are native to Florida. Very unique, indeed!
Quench your thirst and fill your belly over at Archie’s Seabreeze in Fort Pierce. Lots of history to the place and a real biker hangout! Have your kid(s) go around taking photos of all the faux pirates on the property. Fun!!
Going back for… the one and only Motorized Kayak Tour in Fort Pierce. Can’t wait for that unique experience of being on a motorized kayak, so you can really enjoy your surroundings without all the trouble of paddling. Very user-friendly and recommended!
Thank you to St. Lucie County for an amazing family trip! #VisitStLucie
We’ll be back super soon.
