Truth be told, we had a mission – go to Tampa and see Grace Vanderwaal and Imagine Dragons. Road trip! We knew there were things to do and people (animals) to meet!
The Florida Aquarium – Tampa’s largest aquarium – is the perfect spot to begin a hot day in their indoor aquarium and interactive displays. We got to relish in one-of-a-kind Florida habitats, and even across the world!
That night we went to the concert, and enjoyed an amazing, energizing show. Our daughter was elated…can you tell?!
The next day, we set out to Busch Gardens and our 8-year old daughter was finally able to ride almost every thrilling ride. It also took my back to my childhood 🙂 And I enjoyed the rollercoasters much more this time around!! Just know the park is a full-day thing!
ZooTampa at Lowry Park was our last stop in this long weekend of excitement. It was actually my favorite part. The park has a splash area, animals galore, and very walkable. They also have a new water rollercoaster that is safe for most of the families to enjoy together.
The most amazing parts were for our daughter (and us) to be able to feed a giraffe, rhino, and stingray! Unforgettable.
Whenever you have a long weekend coming up, make it out to the Tampa Bay area and maximize the fun. You’ll come back energized and feeling like a little kid again.
Thank you Tampa Bay for showing us love, and making for stellar end of summer vacay!
