I’m starting to pivot more of my content towards animal-friendly activities and travel (now that we have adopted Biscuit here. One such venue is Wyn 317 in Wynwood in Miami.
Had an amazing convo yesterday morning with artist @sarahglass_ceramics and gallery owners @wyn317 ! These women are really taking the art world by storm in SoFla and beyond! Expect more great things!!
Join Seramics with Sarah – Saturday 4/24/21 from 1 – 4 PM). Experience one of WYN 317’s hands-on, socially distant crafting workshops. Come with friends, fam, or solo — this ceramics workshop makes a great place to make new friends safely outdoors. Each participant will have the opportunity to make up to two items (pots, mugs, bowls, plates) using stoneware clay. Also, join WYN 317 this Friday from 6 to 9 PM for the debut of Contemporary Nostalgia. A collection of new works from England-based artist Word To Mother. The show features 30 reused framed vintage paper black and white illustrations of characters reminiscent of early animations from the 1930s and ’40s and a bronze statue that emits the positivity, kindness, and playfulness of life. Using paper from as early as 1890, @wordtomother continues his long-standing relationship with found and textured surfaces, each piece having its own beautifully unique aged patina. The marriage of classic characters on surfaces from the same era gives these new works a nostalgic feeling that perhaps they have existed for years and have just been discovered.
Contemporary Nostalgia will be available for viewing through May 22. #art #wynwood #ceramics #workshop #contemporaryart #nostalgia 💕🌞💋🕶🎉
